Elementary Tutor

Tutors for Tally is currently looking for bright, charismatic tutors with a passion for helping and mentoring students in the Tallahassee area.
You will provide instruction to students in a 1:1 setting.
We are looking for tutors who have experience tutoring or teaching students in grades K-8.
ESE experience is highly preferred.
A Reading Specialist supports tutors who work with reading intervention students.
Our hours of most need are *Monday- Friday 3:30pm-7:45pm* as well as *Saturday 9:00am to 2:00pm*.
We are open M-F 10:30am-7:30pm and Sat.
9:00am-2:00pm.
Preference will be given to candidates that are available to work on Tuesday, Friday, and/or Saturday.
Responsibilities: * Implement lesson plans at varying academic levels * Establish academic goals and milestones with students * Document and communicate progress * Provide constructive feedback for students * Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and supervisors * Collaborate with other tutors and administration ​ Qualifications: * *Bachelors degree *or senior year in Education or related field * Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per week * Ability to build rapport with students and parents and maintain professional demeanor and dress * Sufficient knowledge of a tutoring subject (math, science or reading and writing) * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * 2 years of professional teaching or tutoring experience is preferred Job Type: Part-time Pay: $16.
00 - $19.
