OPS Tutor

HIRING SALARY: Between $12.
00 - $16.
00 per hour (based on education level) HOURS: Up to 25 hours per week, Monday – Friday; Must be available at least 10 hours weekly MAJOR FUNCTIONS: This position will be responsible for providing small group and one-on-one tutoring services to TCC students in specific areas: Currently Seeking Tutors for the Following Subjects: Anatomy and Physiology Writing (Grammar and Mechanics, Document Citation Styles, Organization) Reading English Skills MINIMUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: This position requires successful completion of coursework, and the candidate is proficient in subjects they are interested in tutoring.
A college degree is not required but is preferred.
Candidates for the position will be required to pass a qualifying exam (80% or higher) to tutor in a subject or course.
For math, business, technology, and science courses, a grade of ‘A’ in a specific course within one year of the potential start date will qualify an applicant to tutor that subject in lieu of an exam.
Applicants must upload the following items: Unofficial Transcripts Recommendation Letter KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Successful applicants must be able to conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions with students needing assistance in their courses.
Successful applicants will possess working knowledge of Windows Operating System, MS Office, online learning platforms, and related desktop applications.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: Successful hires must be able to attend mandatory training scheduled prior to Semester start.
