Department Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship Responsibilities The New Initiatives and Programs Project Manager at the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship (JMC) will play a pivotal role in the development, execution, and management of new, externally focused programs.
This position will contribute to the advancement of the college's mission by fostering innovation and entrepreneurship through strategic program development, comprehensive marketing strategies, and stakeholder engagement.
Reporting to the Associate Dean for Research and External Relations, this role also supports the college's research initiatives, aligning program goals with broader institutional objectives.
Responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of new, externally focused entrepreneurship programs targeted towards non-student markets on behalf of both JMC and JMI.
Coordinate all phases of program development from conception through execution, including timeline management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Execute marketing strategies for new programs via digital platforms (social media, email, webinars, and virtual meetings) as well as in-person marketing (tradeshows and events).
Implement processes and systems to efficiently manage program activities and logistics.
Serve as a liaison between the college and external organizations, businesses, and entrepreneurship communities.
Assist in the day-to-day operations of programs, ensuring smooth execution and high-quality participant experiences.
Assist with day-to-day paperwork and material preparation as needed.
Support the administrative needs of the JMC Office of Research, including supporting JMI Research fund administration, JMC Research Fellows program, and JMC Visiting Researchers program.
Support the Associate Dean for Research and External Relations in the administration of academic journals, service to external professional organizations, and ongoing research projects.
Contribute to the development of research proposals, grant applications, and publications as needed, especially as they relate to new initiatives and programs.
Assist in the tracking and support of JMC student-engaged research efforts.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree and four years experience to administrative services or a combination high school diploma or equivalent and experience eight years of experience.
(Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.
) Preferred Qualifications Experience in event planning and management preferred.
Experience working with non-university academic organizations (associations, membership organizations) preferred.
Master’s degree preferred.

They should actively contribute to the planning and development of new entrepreneurship programs, demonstrating proficiency in budgeting, timeline management, and marketing strategies.
